Glenburgie 1980 40 Year Old XOP, Xtra Old Particular Cask
Official notes from Douglas Laing: The nose immediately delivers on barley with citrus peels then develops to a wonderfully rich, buttery style. The palate is mouth-coating thick and moreish... There's vanilla cream with a sweet malty character alongside chocolate shavings and ripe apricots. The long finish reveals more if that creamy / caramel depth with a warming spicy quality apparent too. Cask Strength - Set in a gorgeous wooden presentation box.
