Like the abundant shellfish slumbering beneath the surface of Bunnahabhain bay, it offers hidden depths - delightful treasures that can only be enjoyed once opened.
And just like that rich undersea harvest, each drop takes patience and perseverance to perfect; three decades of watching and waiting, a unique character shaped by salt-rich air swirling above gently lapping waves.
Every dram is matured in ex-sherry casks under the watchful eye of their Distillery Manager. Only when it is fully formed is it freed from its coastal cocoon; its once-hidden bounty ready to be revealed and revered.
Tasting notes:
Glinting with a softly golden hue, their malt offers aromas of butterscotch and beeswax swirling with the sweetest sherry. Once on the tongue, an explosion of strawberries and cream gently transforms into notes of toffee and honey nut cereal, with lingering traces of berries, ginger, spiced oak and salted caramel.
